Did anyone else nearly pass out when they heard polaroid cameras were being discontinued? I did. And then, to my luck, I got one as a gift, and about 5 packs of film. Polaroid cameras will never lose their charm. I mean besides our acclimation to instant photos, the gratification of tangible photos will never die. NEVER!! Just like Ace of Base. You know, most college students don't know who they are!!

In Southern California, we don't get much snow… or kangaroos.. or much sleep. I know most people outside of California laugh at our infamous outfit combo of Uggs and a skirt, but as we're all acclimated to our environments, it doesn't surprise anyone anymore when we see a violator walking down the street- and yes, we still think Winter is cold out here. Sometimes Californian's melt in snowy cities. Like the wicked witch of the west!

The simplicity of the weather in California can cause something that I call the "chill confusion". All the Christmas commercials with windows fogged from the heat vs. chill reaction, infinite Christmas songs begging the sky to fall with ice marshmallows, and Uggs. Lots and lots of pairs of comfortable, fuzzy and toe warming- Uggs. I tend to have chill confusion where I wear a blouse, with a sweater, with a pea coat and a knit scarf, and walk outside looking like an eskimo on the beach. Oh! And pants, you thought I wasn't wearing pants didn't you?

These past couple days I've without failure, been wearing the wrong sweater on the wrong days - either too thick or too thin. Inspired to find the perfect comfy outfit, came this set of sweaters and shoes. So simply and effortlessly chic. I would also need some mustard jeans. Can't forget the pants.

This is our California Winter, my friends!

Bows are lovely on little girls, adorning a top knot, on our beau's neck's, and with the increasingly popular masculine look on our femme features (a killer example featured in Blanco's "Night" Campaign), I'm loving the various ways girls can work a bow-tie into their outfits. 

This DIY from HonestlyWTF.com, allows you to make a darling Bow-Tie pin for those girlfriends who would knock it out of the park rocking a bow tie, AND, with GreenWeddingShoes.com's DIY instructions-Bow-Shoe Clips! All you have to do is buy the shoe clips in addition to the materials for the DIY Bow-Tie, and secure the pin and clip to the back of the bow. You never know,  you might need to rock a tuxedo one night, and a dress the next! 

The best part of this sweet little gift is that your girlfriend can pin it on a headband, a purse, a scarf, a skirt (infinite possibilities, really), to add a bit of a girly kick to their outfit.

Forever 21 is one of my (and I know many of yours, don't lie) favorite places to buy costume jewelry. You can't deny that their team does a pretty good job keeping up and often forward with the trends. (On most of their pieces, not all, sorry F21 - I love you, anyways!) On a trip to one of the largest F21's I've ever been to a week or so ago, my girlfriends and I ooh-ed and aah-ed over some amazing necklaces (my favorite is the blue and red threaded necklace- how FUN is it?!).

Ah, scarves. A girl can never have too many of them. I'm especially in love with the faux fur accessories out there for Fall and Winter, and would love to spice up a jacket or oufit with a faux fur lapel collar or snood (yep, scarf-hood).
