Denim Blue & Apple Red

Chambray Shirt: Old Navy | Skirt: Forever 21 | Sandals: Old Navy | Glasses: Warby Parker, Preston

I'm excited to pull out my skirts for the wonderful Spring weather we're experiencing in Southern California. We've had gorgeous weather and I'm excited for the 75-80 degree weekend! Beach time, maybe? :)

I also got my Preston frames from Warby Parker and can't stop wearing them!

What are your plans for the lovely weekend?

Simply Stripes

Shirt: Forever 21 | Jeans: Old Navy | Belt: Target | Necklaces: Macy, Etsy (Gifted by Vicki), H&M | Boots: Forever 21 | Glasses: Warby Parker, Tenley

I've been very drawn to stripes lately, and recently, my shop-a-holic self went and searched solely for striped shirts. Surprisingly it's not that easy. I mean the wrong striped shirt can turn you into a costumed mime, or cause perceptional widening, both equally unflattering (and funny).

I've been wearing my glasses almost every day for the past couple months and am starting to believe that I'd like another pair of Warby Parkers - now it's just a matter of which ones!

Do you have a pair of frames you love from Warby Parker? OR have had a great experience with a different vendor you'd like to recommend (like Bonlook, or Lookmatic?)

If so, I'd love to hear from you!

Warm Winter Weekend

Blouse: Charlotte Russe | Pants: Zara | Necklace: Francesca's | Bracelets: Gorjana, H&M | Purse: Forever 21 | Belt: Cotton On | Sandals: Old Navy | Glasses: Warby Parker, Tenley

It was like the Southern California sun couldn't help but make a quick warm appearance this weekend, and so did my toes! It was a nice weekend to explore, so we spent some time in Downtown LA at the MOCA, Grand Central Market (got the best tacos there!), and Spring Street Bar to try some of the 26 beers on tap.

I'm happy it came by, but am more happy that the rain will be here soon, so that I'll get to cozy back up with my hoarded cans of [seasonal] Salted Caramel Chai Tea Latte Mix from Trader Joes, and enjoy what's left of the Winter season :)

Pine Cones and a Puppy

Before this past 80 degree weekend in Southern California,  I had been living in pants, boots, and my grandma knits everyday. I felt particularly flirty on this day and knew that I wanted to wear my blush maxi skirt (which I normally pair with a tank and a cardigan) without freezing my toesies off. That's when I decided that I wouldn't have to sacrifice one for the other, and threw on a chunky sweater.

I've also been in a weird place with my hair. Not wanting to go back to the blunt bang (circa 2008-2011), or the side swept bang (circa forever ago-2008), my stylist and I decided that I'd try the middle part. In my past post, I attempted the middle part  - which I STILL can't get used to. (My friends and I call it the Kardashian part), so pushing it a little off center has made it more manageable for me to look in the mirror without laughing.

Bear with me as I figure it out.

Also making an appearance is my crazy puppy (who is really an adult dog at this point), Snoopy! He is a corgi and golden retriever mix, and I love him to pieces. You can find daily doses of him and his quirky personality on my instagram, @electriceunice

Isn't he a handsome little guy?

Happy Martin Luther King Day and have a great long weekend! :)

Outfit Diary

Hi, Everyone!

Happy first post of the year :)

I had an amazing 1.5 weeks off of work to spend time with family and friends, and can't say that I can be more refreshed for a brand new year! I'm so excited to open up my life a bit more with you this year and share my experiences with crafty projects, personal style, the path towards a healthy lifestyle, life lessons and daily adventures.

This week, I ended my vacay with a lovely day at Santa Monica. Got a new iPhone (couldn't handle my recently cracked iPhone 4 screen), did some shopping, enjoyed the crisp ocean breeze and got happy hour with friends.

For a daily dose of Eunice, and if you haven't already, don't forget to follow me on Instagram [at]electriceunice :)

Concrete + Stonewash

T-Shirt: H&M | Shorts: F21 | Sandals: Old Navy | Glasses: Warby Parker

Buckle: H&M | Studs & Chain: F21 | Friendship Bracelets: DIY
Gold Arrowhead: H&M | Ring: Jewelmint

The Summer months are setting in and I'm super excited for keeping clothing simple, and playing with accessories. No need for extra fabric if you've got some killer baubles and maybe some friendship bracelets. Though, I do need to re-organize my closet to bring out the bright pieces that I can't recollect owning.

On another note, I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day!! My family and I spent some time at the beach, flying kites and enjoying each other's company. I love my Dad!

Yay Summer! :)

Square Dance

Jean Jacket: Abercrombie & Fitch | White T: Old Navy | Maxi Skirt: Heavenly Couture | Sandals: Target | Belt Bangle: H&M | Threaded Chain Bracelet: F21 | Purse: F21

I forget how amazing jean jackets are. I know what you're thinking. Abercrombie & Fitch? I know, total throw back - but still amazing!

The weather was beautiful on Sunday so I got to wear something besides jeans and boots (by California standards of cooler weather) Just in case you were wondering, I'm square dancing in that first picture. Which is what I do to formulate some kind of balanced pose.

Lately, I've been frustrated with my long, boring hair. If you knew me in my college days, my hair was anything but boring, and solid colored. So now, here I am fighting my inner 80's rockstar and channeling the modern hippie (all within one mind… should I be worried?). I decided to go with the self sufficient braided headband (a.k.a. braid two braids on both sides of your head, pull both ends to the opposite side of your head and bobby pin), and was quite happy. The braids add a little volume to the top of the head (which my egg head needs), and also is a nice romantic touch to a head of long, wavy, tresses. Problem solved - for now! And no it wasn't intentional for me to look like a frog in that last picture. Close ups make me nervous, k?
