Gone Sailing

Its a warm day (in the high 70's and low 80's), which led me to believe that it'd be a beautiful day to go sailing. And by sailing I mean a trip to the park to run around with Snoopy, an iced coffee from Starbucks, and getting a compliment on my sweater by the girl ringing up our groceries at

It's a dreamy California day.

Now, all I need is a home made iced tea and some time to bake in the sun in my bathing suit.

I love blouses with bows and with this weekend's chilly weather, I decided to turn my scarf into a pussy bow. Also due to the "cold", (with quotation marks because my friend Jabez in D.C. doesn't think it's cold in California) I wore a thin cardigan under my blazer to keep extra warm. Wouldn't have known, would ya?!

I'm a great magician! No, I'm not really. I've just found solutions to buying blazers and jackets that aren't always lined with a nice heavy material.

On that note, I have been wanting a good ol' quality riding jacket/wool blazer for awhile now and have been finding more and more options to add to my wish list. Here's one, another, and another!

I'd like to tell you about guys who like the chase.

I know you don't know this now, but it's pretty much every guy.

At least, it's every guy who hasn't figured out what he wants, or hasn't matured to the level to understand empathy for one other's feelings - 'cept his own. I mean it's like a disease. You'll find yourself hoping that they're innocent, not at fault for their selfish acts, and the worst part is that some of them don't even wear the d-bag uniform. I'll explain what a d-bag is in a future letter.

Here's the key. I am NO expert, but future you will have SEVERAL experiences of being taken advantage of and not seeing through the fog of infatuation and lack of self worth. And that's why I'm writing you this letter - You're too old for the b.s.

Yes you might be 16, but you're still too old for it!

Here's the scenario: Guy woos you, you fall for his candy coated words, you reciprocate communicated feelings, guy realizes that he's woo-ed you to the point of locking in to a "serious" relationship, and then he second thinks himself because he's not ready to commit (in a lot of cases it's simply the idea of loss of freedom or the ol' ball and chain). All of those sweet words, tingly feelings and attention heavy outing with friends, go out the window. And you, the simply innocent-looking for a good guy- girl, is left with your heart in pieces, because nothing you do will rewind time to get him back to day one.

WRONG.

First, nothing you do will rewind time to get him back to day one. This is true. It's what you DON'T do that will get him back to day one. Don't initiate any type of contact, don't respond to his attempts, don't show any interest in his life - because honey, you've got your own to live.

You can guess what's next - the guy will come crawling back! His pride is tugging at your coat tails screaming, "No she di-int just ignore my 10 instant messenger messages and 4 phone calls!" (Is that accurate? I'd like to think they at least think that way in their heads")

Second - great, now you've done nothing and put the guy to shame. By all means, celebrate in your success in making this guy feel like he's as small as your pinky nail. BUT, at this point, I hope you've realized the crap that this guy has put you through, and that there is completely NO DOUBT, that he will do this to you again - once the second chase is over.

You need to remember - if the guy loses interest past "the chase", then he is not worth your time in the first place. To not appreciate you for your bubbly personality, and what's behind those large purple glasses, is truly the first mistake he's made. So, PLEASE - save future you some tears, heartbreak and pride and move on because as easy as it will be to fall back into his arms, you will NOT be happy when he does the same selfish thing to you again.

I promise that there are better looking and more intelligent fish in the sea - AND, other fish that will be past all the b.s. and will be ready to give you a relationship that you deserve. And you'll wear contact lenses and start to get your hair cut by someone other than your mom.

Also, listen to your friends on this one. In fact, listen to your friends on most everything - except the ones that you find oddly peculiar and agree on renting an apartment with in college. I'll give you a hint her name starts with a "T".

I have a huge crush on the Urban Outfitter's exclusive brand - Kimchi Blue. Each Kimchi Blue piece exudes a romantic and sweet disposition with a touch of asian influenced details.

I want all of it. Absolutely all of it. Check out that Beaded Pop Fringe Cross Body Bag decorated with rows of chains, ribbons, beads and fringe! The dresses all make me want to frolic through fields of flowers and I literally love all the shoes they put out. I mean - I'm pretty sure I haven't said that about a brand… yet!

Now that the stretch of the holidays are over and the new year has begun - there's no more excuses for laziness and seasonal over eating (who am I kidding, over eating is my year round bad habit). So here I am, putting on a pair of wide leg trousers, tucking in my shirt and wearing outside shoes (you know, as opposed to fuzzy slippers with Hello Kitty heads on them).

I am so excited about these jeans because they are exactly what I've been looking for (for instance... in this post!)! AND I got them for $15 at Old Navy on sale! Seriously, Old Navy has come a long way since back in the day when the jeans were SERIOUS "mom jeans". No offense moms! I love moms!!

It's a brand spankin' new year, and I am just SO excited to get this year GOING.

I don't know if it's age, or 2011's toll on my soul, but my realization of potential opportunities, creations, projects, relationships and more (a.k.a. the realization of time wasted, creative juices not acted upon, relationships not nurtured and grown) are all for the pickings this year!

I want to LOVE what I do this upcoming year.

Whether it's in my bringing-home-the-bacon world, my free-time world, my family world, my friends world, my community world. I honestly, for once feel like the WORLD (all encompassing) is my oyster.

There is SO much to do! There's so much to progress to make! I gotta get-a-MOVIN'!

Here are a couple of things I want to accomplish this year:

Run a half marathon
Buy my first SLR camera
Take a group vacation with friends
Build my blog to provide quality and unique content
Spend as much time with my parents as possible
Reach new relationship and professional levels at work (To clarify: My job is relationship based)
Connect with my Church community
Study the scripture and infuse it into my life to grow as a strong spiritual woman
Volunteer in the community for a cause in need
Lose some weight (geez, fatty)
Take care of my friends, especially those who have taken care of me
Be a better version of myself when this year is over

Now this might not be much, but hey I'm starting slow here. Gotta be real with oneself.

Keepin' it real. Makin' it happen. Yeah. Whut.

New Year - New 'do!

What better way to start off the new year than with a visit to my orthodontist?!

As if my personality did not ALREADY scream nerd alert, I also have the pre-pubescent mouth gear to go with it! But you know, over time, I've come to not mind them at all. I've gotten rid of my OCD habit of constantly chewing gum, flossing is definitely a part of my daily life, and my ortho and his staff are AMAZING. I basically have a monthly catch up session with the dental assistants (most of the conversation consists of them trying to understand me talking with their hands in my mouth removing my rubber bands)

This month I was especially excited when I skipped out of their office because of these babies:

NO, they're not diamond earrings gifted to me in appreciation of being such a ray of sunshine whenever I come in - they're BRACKET STUD EARRINGS!!! The clear kind - like MY braces!

One of my favorite dental assistant's told me she had forgotten to give me a pair when I had gotten my braces on - 1.5 years late, but it's cool. I could've been rocking these since 2010, it's okay. Haha, anyways, how amazing are they? I'm totally wearing them next time I head on in :)

Braces Diary - Day 674 - I've got less than 4 months before these babies are slimy and naked!

Anyways, what OTHER better way to start off the new year than with a new hair 'do! I finally returned back to my amazing hair-dresser, who I've been hiding from for a year now- I am lead to believe that my long, untamed and damaged locks manipulated me into believing that I didn't need her anymore.

But, I was wrong, so so wrong. My hair has been released from the dead end curse and I am so happy that I got my hurr did for the new year. I'm also trying baby bangs. You like?

Deals from local businesses (and online/non local businesses) give readers 40-70% off services or products to enjoy - or give as a gift (pssst, that's you!) This site is one of my FAVORITES.

4. Birchbox.com - For the girl out there who wants to explore beauty products, who's the queen of face, or for the girl who can never find the right foundation - a subscription to this site is both helpful and exciting. I mean, who doesn't want 5 beauty samples at their door once a month?

5. Umbabox.com - Details above! :) Get that girl who appreciates hand-made pieces the ultimate gift surprise!

6. Etsy.com - Although you can't quite get a gift card to the entire website (would be a GRAND day if and when that day arrives), you can still choose a lovely and unique item for your darling gal. The Perfect Planner

We've got 10 days until 2012, ladies, and for those of you who swear by lists and needing more than just electronic reminders to pay a bill, pick up dog food for your puppy, and dryer sheets for the load in your washer - you may be just like me. Planner Dependent.

Polaroid cameras will never lose their charm. I mean besides our acclimation to instant photos, the gratification of tangible photos will never die. NEVER!! Just like Ace of Base. You know, most college students don't know who they are!!

In Southern California, we don't get much snow… or kangaroos.. or much sleep. I know most people outside of California laugh at our infamous outfit combo of Uggs and a skirt, but as we're all acclimated to our environments, it doesn't surprise anyone anymore when we see a violator walking down the street- and yes, we still think Winter is cold out here. Sometimes Californian's melt in snowy cities. Like the wicked witch of the west!

The simplicity of the weather in California can cause something that I call the "chill confusion". All the Christmas commercials with windows fogged from the heat vs. chill reaction, infinite Christmas songs begging the sky to fall with ice marshmallows, and Uggs. Lots and lots of pairs of comfortable, fuzzy and toe warming- Uggs. I tend to have chill confusion where I wear a blouse, with a sweater, with a pea coat and a knit scarf, and walk outside looking like an eskimo on the beach. Oh! And pants, you thought I wasn't wearing pants didn't you?

These past couple days I've without failure, been wearing the wrong sweater on the wrong days - either too thick or too thin. Inspired to find the perfect comfy outfit, came this set of sweaters and shoes. So simply and effortlessly chic. I would also need some mustard jeans. Can't forget the pants.

My BFF picked up this shirt for me shortly after the release of the Hello Kitty line at Forever 21. It is by far my favorite lounge shirt because it's a soft jersey material with mutli-colored thread infused through the whole thing. And Hello Kitty is in a hooded leopard onesie, I mean come on. How could one resist?

Missoni Tote, We Are Meant to Be

The other night, I went to Target for much more than I intended to leave with (not unusual). But as I was passing through the accessories section, perusing the sunglasses, this Missoni Travel Tote (on clearance!), sat on a barren shelf, and stared me in the face. I'm pretty sure it's zig zag eye winked at me.

I definitely didn't think twice about the bag and grabbed it, glanced around to make sure there weren't any threats and like any other crazed football player who loves Missoni - ran to the cashier before anyone could tackle me and rip my Missoni bag from my arms.

Okay, so it wasn't quite like that, more like I quickly discussed the matter with my boyfriend, who gave me a blank stare back, stated that I needed a new laptop bag and walked right up to the cashier. And then I whispered "TOUCHDOWN" under my breath.

Ah candles, they create a warm and inviting ambiance, freshen up any room, and allow for a night of relaxation OR romance. Forever 21 is one of my (and I know many of yours, don't lie) favorite places to buy costume jewelry. You can't deny that their team does a pretty good job keeping up and often forward with the trends. (On most of their pieces, not all, sorry F21 - I love you, anyways!) On a trip to one of the largest F21's I've ever been to a week or so ago, my girlfriends and I ooh-ed and aah-ed over some amazing necklaces (my favorite is the blue and red threaded necklace- how FUN is it?!).

Ah, scarves. A girl can never have too many of them. I'm especially in love with the faux fur accessories out there for Fall and Winter, and would love to spice up a jacket or oufit with a faux fur lapel collar or snood (yep, scarf-hood). Not so long ago, I signed up for an "Under Construction" GlitterGuide.com subscription that I heard about through following (and founded by) Taylor Sterling and her uber feminine and chic blog: Sterling Style.

Little did I know, after the website would launch, that I would be hooked, waiting on end for the next Glitter Guide email to hit my inbox so I could check out the new blogger spots, company spots, product guides, style news and more.

Glitter Guide is an exact representation of it's name. And it makes me giggle, click through their website frivolously, and puts me in awe with the pictures and graphics they produce. So, if you could imagine, I deliberated quite a bit over what I wanted to include on my wish list this year.

Pause...

Are you kidding? This was so easy to make, it wasn't even funny.

Haha, call it a girl's biggest weakness but with Pinterest, Polyvore, and well my good ol' fashion red notebook, I pretty much have a solid list of items I'm constantly pining for.

1. Canon EOS Rebel T3i. Call me an amateur, but for my first DSLR, I'd like to start simple. I'd love to take my pictures to the next level, because let's face it, my iPhone isn't going to cut it forever!

2. High Waist & Wide Leg Jeans. Tuck in a flowy blouse or don a cute crop top, then throw on a pair of cork wedges and you're set for any type of day.

3. Mindy Kaling's "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And other concerns)". Mindy's character on the Office itself makes me want to read her book. Whether she's the annoying, cheerleader-puppy to Ryan, or that she's a creative, and witty actress who probably says a lot of funny things in her head, I'm sold. Reading and laughing out loud is the best!

4. Chinese Laundry's Mix Tape. Yes, I have a Groupon for CL. Yes, I said I was going to buy boots. No, I haven't bought them yet. And, yes, I want to change my mind and get these booties. Then wear the booties with my pleather leggings and a blazer...to the grocery store.

5. Asos Leopard Clutch. Really, I just want a case for my iPad. The idea of my iPad fitting so snug in a leather envelope that also happens to be a leopard clutch, makes me giggle. And want to get into bed with my cable knit cardigan on.

6. Warby Parker's Tenley Prescription Glasses. I mentioned in my recent post that my glasses aren't as cute as I'd like them to be. I think Fall and Winter would be a great time to upgrade, and give my eyeballs a break with this contact lens business. Now if Warby Parker would just contact my optometrist to get my prescription, and also pardon any expiration dates, that would be great!

7. Gibson Tweed Riding Jacket. Such a classic, worth the splurge, "I will wear it forever unless I get really fat" type of purchase. I want so badly to throw on a pair of jeans, a white-t, this jacket and some boots. And call it an responsible, adult day.

I am Thankful For...

Inspired by IFB Project #22 and the nearing Thanksgiving Holiday, I put together a little somethin' somethin' of what I'm thankful for this year.

1. C.O. Bigelow Mentha Balm. Lip gloss that freshens breath, gives your lips a minty tingle and a smooth finish. I live by this stuff.

2. Fake Eyelashes. Are an Asian girl's best friend. Most of us have itty bitty ones. Oops, did I just give away our secret?

3. iPhone. I'd like to say I am independent of my iPhone, but in reality, I'm not. It's a true life-style device. I'm not sure if I can get down the street without it.

4. Glasses. Though mine are definitely not as cute as these, I couldn't live without my glasses. I'm a full time contact lens wearer, but by the end of the day, I can't wait to take them off.

5. Gold Chain Bracelet. I love these; to wear by itself, to layer and to spruce up a casual outfit.

6. Mint Green Nail Polish. Mint green really is my pick me up color. Looks amazing on my skin tone (and any at that) and works for any season.

7. A Chunky Knit Sweater. Oh come on, I'm a sucker for these. I'll sleep in one, I swear. Really, I will!

8. Jeggings. Jean leggings? What woman could ask for more? Butt hugging AND comfortable!

9. Comfortable Wedges. I love wedges. So easy on the feet, and easy on the eyes.

10. Benefit Spot Concealer- Boi-ing. Covers up blemishes and feels minimal. Dust some powder over and you're done. Mission accomplished.

Okay, no really. This is what I'm truly thankful for this year.

My relationship with God, and his infinite blessings, especially through hard times.

My heroes, my Mom and my Dad, the most influential, compassionate and hard working people in my life.

My boyfriend (Cookie.. Monster?), and the happiness, laughter, and support he brings to my life.

My friends. The girls that have been there through thick and thin, rise and fall, tears and laughter.

And Snoopy. The most compassionate, loyal and loving little creature in my life.

Thanksgiving Potluck

My bible study had our Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner this past week and oooooh was I excited for the Thanksgiving goodness to begin! I was also reminded that taking pictures in my mini foyer adds a nice jaundice effect, and that my dog thinks I'm going to take him outside anytime I step foot near the door. Can't pry him away from that area until you walk away yourself.

DEFINITELY more of those type of photos in the future. Unfortunately I'm serious, with the sun setting earlier and me putting myself together later in the day, this has to be done. I'll try my best with getting out earlier in the day, friends.

First I have to say, that more than any other time, I wish I had a little girl to dress in these most darling clothes.

I may be a tad late, but Harajuku Mini for Target is here! I mean, on top of being asian, having a little panda or rock star ballerina walking around with me? Did I just present a little girl as an accessory?

Yes. I did, but I'm able to do that because my baby girl won't arrive until maybe a decade from now, and I can only hope that Gwen Stefanie launches another Harajuku Mini line for my bundle of joy. In the meantime - take a gander. Then think of any little girl in your life that you can buy these pieces for. Unfortunately, my cousin with 2 beautiful little girls is way more on top of this than I am, and has already been there and done that. :)

It's that time of the year again! Have you started thinking about gift ideas? Here is a combination of low cost and affordable ideas for the special ladies in your lives!

I made these darling Monogram Tote bags last year for my girlfriends for Christmas. It's relatively cheap, easy and so useful for your friends on the go. I've heard my girls using the tote for groceries, and for Sunny and Vicki for books, laptops, and as an overnight bag. My only issue is that unless you've got an awesome craft store (other than Michael's and Jo-ann's) nearby, you may have to order these "large" tote bags online.

You know what I realize is one of the smallest, low cost (well in Essie's case, on the higher end), and most gratifying presents for a girl? A good bottle of nail polish. Drop a bottle of Essie nail polish from Essie's Cocktail Bling or Luxeffects line in your girlfriend's stocking this year. They won't be able to wait until Christmas to paint their nails. Ruthie delighted me with one in my gift bag for my birthday. Loved it!

I don't know about you girls, but I have an issue with organizing my jewelry, even after I've organized time and time again. My necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings get strewn all throughout my home and vanity area. This Urban Outfitters jewelry tree is an awesome gift for any girl, and even better, it's vintage chic on it's own, or even as a hat rack. Sunny got me one two years ago, and It's dawned many uses and locations; from my vanity, to my dresser and now to decorate the top of my bookshelf. I love it!

Hello Kitty x Forever 21

I believe, that I may pass out.

I have this anxiety problem where I always believe that I won't be the surviving fittest in any situation, so therefore a strategy needs to be put in place. Example: When there are a group of food trucks in a parking lot, I feel like I have to get there 30 minutes before they all open to get my pickin's of food. Then when I get there, I run from my car to the food truck circle and anxiously skim each truck's menu and give myself a 30 second deadline to choose a line to stand in first. Insanity? I'm okay with it. My boyfriend always gets what he wants on the menu so he should thank me!

So, when I saw this post about Hello Kitty collaborating with Forever 21, I just about passed out. (Just like I did when I heard Missoni was collaborating with Target).

Here is the scoop from Nitrolicious:

See? I wasn't joking about passing out. HOW FREAKING CUTE is this line? Now really, there is always a fine line between, "That Hello Kitty shirt should be worn by someone 20 years younger than you who still can't pronounce words like "vanilla" or "chinchilla"" and "Wow, that Hello Kitty shirt is surprisingly cute and age appropriate!"

I'm not going to lie, I've skimmed that line before, but with these new pieces, you can look like I've passed puberty AND look stylish at the same time!! My favorites are the pussy bow blouse and the tan cardigan.

F21 is having a launch party for the Hello Kitty Exclusive Collection in Hollywood tomorrow! If you're in the area, or if you're a closet Hello Kitty die hard, I'd say it's an exciting event to go to. I won't judge. Promise.

I've finally grown out my dried, dyed, and cried out hair to the point where I just have one inch or so left, with that said, even with just a small section of damaged hair, my hair constantly feels dry and straw-like. I'm excited to try the Elixir Ultime, where they recommend to use this moisturizing oil on damp hair, dry hair or just on the ends to add shine, moisture and smoothness. (And to see if I should be switching over to this from Morrocan Argan Penetrating Oil)

4. Supersmile | Professional Whitening Toothpaste

Since I can't use my beloved whitening strips anymore (due to my metal mouth), I've definitely been searching for a whitening toothpaste that WORKS. Super smile me SUPERSMILE!

5. Alex and Isabelle | Classic Hair Ties

I totally thought the little knotted ribbon in my box was an extra ribbon that happened to make it's way into my box, but realized that it's a hair tie! I actually love it! It's non-tangle, possibly because of the change from the typical thin band, it actually goes great with my hair. I especially like it when I throw my hair up in a bun, because it holds better due to it's larger surface area.

Can't wait to play with all of my samples and what Birchbox has in store for me next month!!

Give me some sugar!

Did I say Monday? I meant Saturday :)

As a girl who has combination skin and lips that seem to love to wear the chapped look more than most, I knew Fall had come around when my face started screaming for multiple lotion applications and my lips were getting pulled over by the chapped police.

I knew I had to find a lip exfoliator/buffer and made my way to Sephora to find one. I had heard so much about items from the fresh line, and most specifically the Sugar Lip Polish. A gentle lip exfoliator that includes sugar as one of it's key ingredients? SOLD. Gently massage the light sugary paste on your lips, wait 5 minutes, wash with warm water and bam - soft lips! Then you seal the deal with the Sugar Lip Treatment and a pretty lip color (optional) and you're good to go!

I bought the stocking stuffer/mini version of this duo and am definitely going to pick up a full size when this stash runs out. I take the Sugar Lip Treatment with me in my purse and use it as chapstick whenever needed.

I also picked up a lipstick from the Rouge Cream Lipstick Line of the Sephora Collection. I wanted to stay away from the glitters and other lip drying ingredients so the Rouge Cream Line was perfect. I'm not a daily lipstick wearer, so I chose Ingenious 21 a "cool beigy brown"which shows up on my lips incredibly natural, but also gives me actual lips to walk around with, and has a nice pink tone in it - which I love!

While at Sephora, I also perused the OPI nail polish stand looking for the new matte top coat I had been hearing so much buzz about. I frowned in not being able to find it, and then of course, found another rack near the counter with the top coat sitting pretty, ready for me to snatch it up.

It kind of reminds me of actual paint, and love the carbon look it takes on dark colors like this navy blue on my 4th fingers. I'm excited to try it on more colors this Fall!

Oh! And the 4th item I picked up was my birthday Vanilla Cupcake body wash by Philosophy. Oh Sephora, such a winning gift to get a girl on her birthday! Make sure to pick yours up within the month of your birthday!!

I spent a bit of time at Nordstrom yesterday as it is their Half-Yearly Sale and let my feet meet a couple of Steves and Betsys. Then had to walk away with a tear because this girl got no cash to pay for these beauties!

This outfit is what I call, finding your hip jacket you used to wear in college and realizing that it was a bit loose when you used to rock it to house parties. Now, it fits perfectly and I can feel a bit younger by not wearing my oversized knit cardigan out- everyday.

Not unlike my usual trips to what my boyfriend calls, the black hole that I disappear into for hours (the mall/ or the abyss called the internet), I've been heading straight for the shoe racks in search of fun, Fall shoes for every occasion.

Clockwise:

Steve Madden's leopard wedges have been sitting pretty in my mind for awhile now, I have been loving the simple, neutral colored outfits that Fall has brought out into the cooler streets, and love how a pair of these can bring some fun pop into any look.

Grey works in any season, and these flats from Madewell definitely hit the spot!

Lita's, inspired by one of my besties, of YoursTrulySunny, are the best way to edge up an outfit with the benefit of comfort, height and spunk.

Heeled loafers? Bringing party to business? Or business to party? I'm not sure, but I love how you can wear these with a pair of wide leg trousers and a blazer to a work function, or with some skinny jeans and a sheer blouse to happy hour with the ladies, whatever you choose, as long as there's no mullets involved.

I know I've raved about Chinese Laundry's boots before, but I am just waiting to replace my black pair that I've definitely worn out (if any of you remember my examples of slipping at the entrance of Nordstrom multiple times). Now, I'm just trying to choose between the black or the cognac.

Cheers to the Freakin' Weekend

Felt like my family and I got a head start on our weekend and it's been wonderful so far!

We got some tasty by pound sweets from Whole Foods (chocolate covered strawberry bites, zoo animal gummies, toffee caramel bites, and my favorite; green tea caramels).

I picked up some goodies from Sephora, which I'll talk more about on Monday, and Snoopy, is just being Snoopy.

Birthday Fun Part Deux

My lovely girlfriends and I spent a night out in Santa Monica for my Birthday a couple weekends ago and as tough as it is getting all of my closest friends together for a weekend, (minus one, but she was out of the country so, I'll give her a pass :) we made it happen, and that was truly the best birthday present of all!

My darling friend Linda was so sweet and hosted us for the weekend in her adorable Santa Monica apartment. (Thanks Linda!)

Long story short, we checked out Ryan Garton's art show in Culver City, ate dinner at Bar Chloe, and visited 2 other bars, had some drinks and danced a bit before we decided that the multigrain tortilla chips, brie, bean dip and wine sitting at Linda's place were calling our names.

Home we went and let me say I just haven't seen hot mini dresses come off and pajamas come on so fast in the same swift movement. We had a blast out on the town, giggling, and taking pictures, but definitely affirmed my birthday eve post. I'm having a sleepover for my 27th birthday.

We had brunch the next morning at Sonoma Wine Garden, which was both pleasing in food and ambience. We loved the outdoor seating and definitely took advantage of the bottomless mimosa lunch and some bloody marys.

Thank you ladies for being the pillars in my life and continuing to be my friend no matter how many times I get pink eye, nights I've kept you up, hugs I've forced you to give me, and text messages I've sent in a 15 second window. You're all the best. Sleepover next year. Serious.

Busy Busy Week

This week has been non-stop in preparation for a big event this weekend.

Nevertheless, here are some peeks into my week.

You can't quite blame Ikea for their non-durable chairs. Especially when you buy them for $10 each. I broke one this week, and Snoopy's bed was in the washer so he decided that the broken chair cushion would do.

It's rare that places get my name right. And hey, I don't blame them. I used to work at Starbucks, I'd try my best to get names but sometimes when you're looking at a line growing around the pastry case and are trying to remember what I said for my drink order (since I'm pro at ordering, duh) sometimes you want to write down "Venus" instead of "Eunice", you know, for kicks! This lovely barista got it right though, and I didn't even have to start spelling it, "E.. U.. no no it's not with a Y..", who am I kidding I don't even do that anymore. It's kind of fun to see what people come up with.

Ughhhhh yess, Taiwanese food is so great ANYTIME. Beef noodle soup with homemade noodles and minced pork rice. After those came out, a beef roll and pork roll came out too. Heeeeeavenly!

Another snapshot of Snoopy while I did work today. He likes to get in the middle of my business and look at me with neglect in his eyes. Seriously. He's spoiled.

I looove Toblerone. One time I picked up one from Trader Joes and for once decided not to go at it on the car ride home. And when I got home, my Toblerone wasn't in my bag. I shed a slight tear and huffed around for awhile. So when I saw it at Target I knew that I deserved it, so now not only is the Toblerone in my home, but in my tummy.
